Crafting heritage into a modern brand
The Original Wooden Window Company is a family business that has been running since the late 1950s.
The company specialises in custom, hand-made traditional wooden windows. However, their methods of construction take full advantage of modern technological advances in many innovative ways, to deliver a durable, energy efficient product.
The brief was to create a brand for the business that would position it to appeal to the top end of the market of private home owners, architects and building contractors. It was also of vital importance to the owners that the new brand would have a strong appeal with their highly skilled workforce of carpenters and fitters.
Emphasis was given to the word ‘Original’ because it conveys the core brand value. In a totally unique and ‘original’ way the imagery combines the traditional symbol of the lion with a sunshine motif that is appropriate to a window product. The script lettering and diamond shape hark back to a 1950s heritage but in a way that conveys a totally modern image.
